THE CELL PHONE vs. THE BIBLE
What would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our mobile phone?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we flipped through it several times a day?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we gave it to our children as a gift?

What if we used it when we traveled?

What if we used it in case of emergency?

Unlike our mobile, we don't have to worry about our Bible being ‘disconnected’ because of an unpaid bill.  Jesus already paid the bill. In full.

And just think - no dropped calls! God hears them all!
- Author Unknown

Sunday Groaner
The Sunday school teacher asked if the class knew who were the twin boys in the Bible.
“That’s easy,” said Charles. “First and Second Samuel.”

This is the most important month of the Christian Year - with April comes first of all Holy Week. On Palm Sunday (1st April) we begin by remembering the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem and then as the week continues we remember the events of each day of Holy Week. Do remember to stop and think each day of the events of the first Holy Week. Read the story in the scriptures or come to our Holy Week Services: Morning and Evening Prayer at 7.30a.m. and 6.30p.m. ss usual each day (see below for venues). In addition on Wednesday there is Holy Communion in Long Lane at 10.30a.m. and the Lenten Service in longford at 5.00p.m.. On Maundy Thursday there is Holy Communion in Long Lane at 7.30p.m. and on Good Friday the Devotional Services . (See details below). Then on Easter Day it is the duty of all who are communicant members of the church to make their communion at one or other of the services which will be held. If you are prevented by sickness or infirmity from coming to church for your Easter Communion, do contact me so that arrangements can be made you to receive the Sacrament to at home.

A very Happy and Holy Easter to you.

May the joy of the risen Lord be with you now and always.

Michael Bishop
