Babysitter

A young girl was babysitting for the first time - beginning her shift shortly after supper and as the children were playing in front of the house. At bedtime she sent all the youngsters upstairs to bed and settled down to watch TV. One child kept creeping down the stairs but the young girl kept sending him back. At 9pm, the doorbell rang. It was the next-door neighbor, Mrs.Brown, who asked anxiously whether her son was there.
The babysitter brusquely replied, "No." Just then a little head appeared over the banister and a voice shouted, "I'm here Mum but she won't let me go home."

MARRIAGE

A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't.
A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change, but she does.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY AND FINALY TRUEST TRUISM OF ALL
Any married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people remembering the same thing

Fun and relaxation are an important part of our lives. It is all too easy to be so busy going about the every day tasks of life and daily work that we forget or do not have time to sit back and enjoy the wonderful world God has given us to share. During the coming summer, do take the opportunity of having some quiet times. As the poet put it "What is this life if full of care, we have no time to stand and stare." It is a wonderful world and we are surrounded by many wonderful people – do enjoy them. If, for you, at the moment times are not easy, do bring your problems to God and ask for His help – and the help of those around you who are always ready to help if only you will accept that help. There is nothing that the love of God cannot touch and transform.

If you are looking for relaxation, then remember the summer season of events is now fully under way. By the time you see this, the Sutton Fete and Boylestone Duck Race will have happened and during this month we have various events to look forward to, with the Longford and Radbourne Fetes together with Teddy Bear Parachuting in Church Broughton and Music in the grounds of Barton Blount Hall all taking place this month. These events are always great community events which are both enjoyable occasions and make a welcome contribution to church funds. I do hope that you will come along and join in the fun. Our thanks are due to all those whose work and support make thes events possible.

I hope to see you at some (or all) of these events
