SPECIAL NOTICE
New regulations come into force this year with regard to the election of Churchwardens. The rule is now that the maximum  continuous term of service for a churchwarden is six years unless a special meeting of parishioners has agreed to resolve that this rule should not apply in their parish. As a number of our churchwardens have served for at least 6 successive terms of office, special meetings of parishioners will be held to consider such motions after Sunday service on dates indicated on notices in each church. The meetings will be brief ones and any parishioner is eligible to attend and vote and is encouraged to do so. The annual vestry meetings and Annual Parochial Church Meetings will be held separately as indicated in notices to be posted in church.
Children’s Day at Boylestone Village Hall & Church on Saturday 1st March
“All at Sea” 2.00p.m.- 6.00p.m.
All primary age children welcome. Please book in advance with the Rector so that we can cater for all who come. Cost £2-00 per child. Contact the Rector for details.
Miscellaneous observations on life
As a child of God, prayer is kind of like calling home everyday.
Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.
The most important things in your house are the people.
When you get tangled up in our problems, be still. God wants you to be still so HE can untangle the knot.A grudge is a heavy thing to carry.
He who dies with the most toys is still dead.
Faith is the ability to not panic.
If you worry, you didn't pray. If you prayed, don't worry.
God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts.
Dear God: I have a problem. It's me.
Silence is often misinterpreted, but never misquoted.
Laugh every day - it's like inner jogging.
Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional.
We do not remember days but moments. Life moves too fast so enjoy your precious moments.
Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.
Sunday Groaner
“Dear Paddy,
The Vicar here thinks very highly of your father. He’s given him a job so important that he has five hunderd men under him. He’s cutting the grass in the churchyard.”
