Sunday Groaner - Another miracle
A priest was speeding down a motorway when he was stopped by the police. The officer smelled alcohol on his breath, and then saw the empty wine bottle on the floor of the car.
“Sir,” he demanded, “Have you been drinking?”
“Just water,” says the priest.
“Then why,” said the officer, “do I smell wine?”
The priest thought rapidly. “Good Lord!” he cried. “He’s done it again!”
The fight
A man rushed into the pub. “I need a pint – I’ve just had another fight with my wife.”
“Oh, yes?” asked his friend at the bar. “And how did this one end?”
“Well, when it was over, she was on her hands and knees, pleading with me” admitted the man.
“Goodness! What she very upset?”
“Yes, I’m afraid so,” said the man, “She kept crying: ‘come out from under that bed, you big chicken, and
let me get my hands on you…!’”
