Church Magazine Bloomers
The Parish Pump has its share of bloomers -

you know what they meant, but what they said was.. These church magazine bloomers are (allegedly!) all true from other church magazines
The choir seems to have been a fertile source:* At the evening service tonight, the sermon topic will be 'What Is Hell?' Come early and listen to our choir practice.
* Eight new choir robes are currently needed due to the addition of several new members and to the deterioration of some older ones.
* The senior choir invites any member of the congregation who enjoys sinning to see the organist after the service.
* Next Thursday there will be tryouts for the choir. They need all the help they can get.
* The Rector will preach his farewell message, after which the choir will sing: Break Forth Into Joy.
* This evening at 7 pm there will be hymn-singing in the park across from the church. Bring a blanket and come prepared to sin.
* A true one from this parish you may remember - the Rector sent a note to the organist listing some hymns requested for a service of Songs of Praise, ending with the words “No doubt there will be more to come.” A number of people searched hard in their hymn books and complained “We can’t find that last hymn - can you produce the words and music, Michael?
A senior moment
I made a list.
I checked it twice.
I left it at home.
Tell me, dad .....
"Dad," said the son, "what is a financial genius?"
"A financial genius," said his harassed father, "is a man who can earn money faster than his family can spend it."
