This is a very special year for Christchurch, Long Lane as we celebrate the 150th anniversary of the consecration of the church. There will be various events through the year to mark this:- the first one will be a Flower Festival on 29th - 31st May.

The Family Service at 10.00a.m. will be a “Toy Service”. You are invited to give, [instead of “giving up”], an unwanted, “grown out of”, or unused, toy at our toy service for Lent. All toys, crayons, pencils, books and games will be very welcome.
During the service, children will be asked to bring their donated toys to the Altar. All toys will be given to “Schools for Gambia”, a local charity which regularly ships toys, games books. pencils, paper and bicycles, [for those children who walk many miles to school], to schools in the Gambia, built by the charity.
